About Patti
I've sat on both sides of the room.
Before I was a therapist, I was a person in therapy. I did my own hard, honest work there. It shapes how I sit with you now.

The long way here
Therapy is my second career — and everything before it shaped how I do this work.
My first career was in nutrition and wellness coaching. I spent years helping people change habits that felt stuck for good.
Along the way, I fought my own battle with food. Therapy — and a lot of honest self-study — is how I found my way through. It taught me what really helps when you're hurting. And what doesn't.
So I went back to school. First a master's in psychology. Then a master's in marriage and family therapy. I've been practicing since 2021.

How I work
In my words: “My approach to therapy is humanistic, collaborative, and integrative. I work from a non-pathologizing, strength-based orientation.”
In plain words: I don't treat you like a diagnosis. You are a person with strengths. We find them, and we build on them.
I believe every person is unique. So I create an approach that fits you — not a script.
My style is open and warm, with no judgment. I am deeply interested in your life and how you see it.

Off the clock
When I'm not studying psychology, I'm out on my bike, at the gym, or doing improv. Improv turns out to be great training for therapy — it teaches you to stay present with whatever shows up.
I'm a mom of three grown kids, and a grandmother. I moved here from Atlanta, and I fall more in love with the Lowcountry every year.
Let's talk.
I enjoy working with people who want to be in therapy. If that's you — or if you're not sure yet — a free call is the easy way to find out.
